In 2018 I deferred my place at York St John University and I studied a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Newcastle College. Throughout the year I explored a variety of processes, before specialising in Visual Communication. For my final piece I wanted to share a variety of perspectives of Donald Trump building the wall during his Presidency in 2018.
(Hands Shaking) This poster explores whether Trump wanted to protect his nation or keep immigrants from crossing the border.
(Trump portrait) This poster explores a speech that Trump made about building the wall. He claimed that it would look appealing and that the Mexicans were going to be happy about it.
(Vehicle) One issue about building the wall was that vehicles could drive around it, which led to the question of what was the purpose of building this wall, and was it worth the money?
(Trump in a Mexican hat) This poster explores Trump repeatedly saying that he loved Mexico. The objective of this campaign was to explore the reasons why Trump decided to build a wall and whether it was completely thought through or simply a demonstration of power.
